
Rupert Thomson is a multi-award-winning arts leader, writer, editor, and performance maker/director. Based in Singapore, he previously worked in Edinburgh and London, and currently leads Reed Words' office in APAC, helping businesses harness the power of language and verbal branding.
From 2011 to 2015, Rupert was founding Artistic Director at Summerhall, a multi-arts venue in Edinburgh described by the Guardian in 2014 as "one of the world's great arts centres." Over the course of his career, his projects have won more than 40 major awards.
Rupert has collaborated with an extraordinary range of talent, including Oscar-winner Tim Yip and Nobel Prize-winners Dario Fo and Peter Higgs, alongside major names spanning performing arts, music, literature, and fashion — from Jean-Paul Gaultier to Mica Levi, and from English Poet Laureates to outstanding Tunisian breakdancers.
