Jean Nabaa is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Global Private Banking & Wealth at HSBC, a role he assumed in September 2024. In this capacity, he oversees the operational strategy and execution for HSBC’s global private banking and wealth management businesses, supporting the bank’s ambition to be a leading wealth manager for clients across Asia and internationally.

Prior to joining HSBC, Jean spent a decade at Standard Chartered Bank, where he held several senior leadership roles. He began in private banking and later served as Global COO for Wealth & Retail Banking, overseeing wealth management products, retail banking, and SME banking. Before Standard Chartered, Jean was COO of Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific and an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company.

Jean holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Lausanne and an MBA from INSEAD. He is currently based in Hong Kong.
